Having Trouble Getting More Done? Do Less.

Most of us running small- or micro-business operations spend our lives in overdrive. The term 'delegation,' merrily tossed toward us by well-meaning business management and efficiency experts, brings a slight smirk to our weary faces.

We do it all, mainly because there's nobody else around to get it done for us. Often we can't do it all, and find ourselves grasping for bits of progress as the growing backlog of to-do lists teeters on the edge of our desk. We put in 20-hour days trying to get it all done, knowing full well we won't.

What's the solution? Consciously doing less. Being aware of where and how we spend our precious time. Getting smarter about how we spend that time by using visibility tools, such as Firefox's free extension, Page Addict . Don't worry, the page is extremely short, and the tool is extremely free.

OMG! What a scary thought. I do believe I might be horrified to actually see my 'web' time quantified into a tangible number. Looks like a great app, I'll see about giving it a try. ;-) Mary
